Who we are

We – that’s Christoph, Beate, little Theresia, Christoph’s son Gabriel, and dedicated volunteers who support us in our daily work. Our community is completed by our cows, sheep, pigs, farm dogs Henry and Sán Raro, and our cats. The Hauserhof is located in the Merano basin on the steep southern slopes of the main Alpine ridge. It was laboriously cultivated by hand in the 15th century and has been run by the Tribus family for four generations.

In 2012, we established our own farm dairy and meat processing facility. In our dairy, we craft our raw milk into cheese using traditional artisanal methods. From cheese production to the daily care of each wheel in our aging cellar – everything is done with dedication and physical effort. This is where our various specialty cheeses are created.
